Castletown Lecture 2: Suzanne Pegley, ‘Lucan House, A Palladian Villa'

The second lecture in the Castletown Winter Lecture Series 2011-2012 takes place at Castletown on Wednesday 2 November 2011 at 8.00pm.

The lecture entitled ‘Lucan House, A Palladian Villa’ will be delivered by Suzanne Pegley. Suzanne is the co-author of two local histories, Aspects of Leixlip (2001) and Aspects of Lucan (2009) and author of The Land Commission and the making of Ráth Cairn: The first Gaeltacht colony. She is presently undertaking her PhD in Geography at NUI Mayoooth.

The lecture will be held in the newly restored East Wing/Stable Wing at Castletown. No booking is required but seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is €5.00 payable at the door, by cash or cheque only. Patrons are requested to be seated by 7.50pm. Join us for tea/coffee after the lecture.
